MiTú Network is excited to partner with The Social Revolución at the South by Southwest Interactive conference this year to promote Latinos innovating in the tech and social media space. More than 1 million people connected online about the event last year, and this year organizers say the event will be even bigger.
A big part of The Social Revolución are the Revolucionario Awards, in which the community nominates Latinos and Latinas working online to spread ideas, foster communities, and inspire their worldwide audience into action.

“We're excited to partner with MiTú Network as Allies of the Social Revolución,” said Mando Rayo, VP for Engagement at Cultural Strategies, organizers of the event.
“Being revolucionarios in their own right as the fastest growing Latino lifestyle network on YouTube, MiTú will help the movement reach millions of YouTube viewers, countless creators, and together we will be able to integrate content for and by Latinos.”
The Social Revolución consists of events during the SXSW Interactive conference — including the Latino Lounge and a team of blogueros — as well as the Revolucionario Awards and Party. Awards will be selected by a team of judges and community votes, don’t forget you can vote here. One of the judges is SXSW Interactive Director Hugh Forrest this year.
The awards are set to become part of the official SXSW Interactive Awards this year, an exciting change from last year.
At the end of the day Rayo said the event is meant to push more Latinos into technology, at SXSW Interactive in particular, and to highlight and share their stories. Check out The Social Revolución here, and nominate and vote for your favorite revolucionarios!
