THE WALL STREET JOURNAL - MiTú Hits a Billion Views and Keeps Growing

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 11, 2013--

MiTú (www.youtube.com/MiTú, www.mitunetwork.com), the leading multi-channel YouTube network, exclusively dedicated to Latino content, announced today that in less than a year, they have achieved over a billion network views. The most recent data states that MiTú is currently generating more than 60 million monthly views, has attracted over 4.5 million subscribers, 520 channels and over 60,000 videos making MiTú one of the most popular and successfully viewed Latin YouTube networks to date.

In addition to the new audience milestone, it was announced today that Charlie Echeverry has joined the company as a Senior Consultant. In his new role, Echeverry will help shape and provide valuable insight into MiTú's brand relationships and advertising partnerships, along with supporting the company's marketing strategy. Echeverry most recently served as EVP/CRO of Univision Interactive overseeing national, local and international advertising activities across all of Univision's digital, mobile and social properties. He will work closely with company partners Beatriz Acevedo, Roy Burstin and Doug Greiff.

"Charlie's joining the MiTú team is a great step in our current growth," stated Roy Burstin, MiTú's CEO. "As a highly sought after expert in digital advertising and marketing, with vast respect and understanding of the US Hispanic Market, we know that MiTú will benefit from his creativity and brand relationships."

"MiTú is breaking ground in the same way cable networks did in their early years. Hispanics now lead the digital revolution and are the largest growing demographic to consume media on multiple platforms and they are seeking out and also creating more and more compelling content. I believe that MiTú is in the best position to serve them. MiTú is unique in their ability to develop and package original and branded content, and activate it through a community of video influencers, unlike any I have ever seen. I'm invigorated by the opportunity to work with them," stated Echeverry.

MiTú recently closed financing, led by The Chernin Group LLC (TCG). Its other investors include Allen DeBevoise, Chairman, CEO and co-founder of Machinima; Shari Redstone and Jason Ostheimer of Advancit Capital; Quincy Smith of Code Advisors, an internet and media focused merchant bank; and Juan Cristóbal Ferrer of Ferrer Comunicación, a Mexico City-based advertising agency.

MiTú was founded in May 2012 and is led by Latino TV industry veterans Doug Greiff, Beatriz Acevedo, and Roy Burstin and is headquartered in Los Angeles. MiTú partners with talented Latino content creators to launch and grow their English, Spanish, and Portuguese-language channels on YouTube, expand their audiences, scale their production, and connect them with the global marketplace. In addition, MiTú is focusing on expanding their development and production of originally produced, culturally relevant programming.

MiTú currently produces and distributes programming for a young and growing global Latino audience, in the lifestyle verticals of Health, Beauty, Food, Home, Learn and Pop Culture.

Since its launch, the network now features more than 520 channels from North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia, and has accumulated more than one billion total network views across a subscriber base exceeding 4.5 million.
